* Italy - Fiat EcoDrive produces savings

Torino,Italy -Fleet Europe, by Harrup -24 Nov 2010: -- Fiat has carried out a survey of its clients using the EcoDrive system, launched two years ago. The system enables driving data to be gathered via a USB stick in the car (pre-equipped with the 'Blue&Me system') which transfers information back to the client’s fleet manager. Individual driving behaviour can then be adapted. The survey, carried out in France, Germany, the UK, Italy and Spain, reveals that average fuel savings were 6% on average, with 10% of the 700-strong survey group achieving 16%. The saving also translates into substantial reductions in CO2 emissions...   (Photo: Fiat's Punto model, cabin)
